Transforming a rented shell into a home that feels completely personal.

The Bessy Home began with a very specific challenge: the clients were relocating to Chennai after spending a long period abroad, and the home they were moving into was a rental. Narah's process began with understanding how the family wanted to live, with the initial design conversations taking place through several Zoom calls. Working within the limitations of a rented property, we created individual nooks, corners, rooms, and design features that gave the house its own character without treating it like a permanent structural renovation.

The focus was on making the home feel considered and personal through design rather than extensive structural intervention. The final execution brought the different spaces together into a calm Besant Nagar home that reflected the people living in it.
