A contemporary home that brings the feeling of America into Chennai.

Designed for a young family, Haven was created around the idea of recreating a familiar American lifestyle within their Chennai apartment. The interiors take a distinctly minimal and contemporary direction, moving away from Narah’s more traditional design language and instead using beige tones, wood, moulding, soft furnishings and greenery to create a warm, understated home.

Every room was planned around how the family would actually live and grow in the space. The children’s room was designed to evolve with their young son, with space for play, study and storage rather than being designed only for his current age. The master bedroom was kept minimal and seamless, with cane, integrated storage and a sense of quiet luxury. The guest room was converted into a dedicated storage space, while the entertainment room was planned as a flexible space for gaming, working and spending time with friends and family.
