LAHE BY LOKA Furnishings and design consultation built around the idea of slow living.

For Laahe by Loka, a homestay in Auroville, Narah worked closely with the owner on the interior design consultation and curated the furnishings. The project was guided by Laahe's idea of slow living, with the design focusing on creating a relaxed, thoughtful environment through colour, material, furniture, and textiles. Narah consulted on the interiors but did not undertake the overall interior execution.

The existing property colours became the starting point for the palette, with the property's pink balanced with a soft mint green.
Reclaimed wood and cost-effective, reusable furniture were introduced to keep the design practical and aligned with the project's ethos. Narah designed the look and finish of the furniture and executed the furnishings, including seater cushions, quilted cushions, block-printed pieces, and layered textiles.

Print was used in a restrained way, with subtle print-on-print combinations and soothing colours. Grid and column-based patterns were developed as part of the furnishing language, creating a visual connection across the rooms. The result was a fully curated interior where the furniture, colours, fabrics, and details worked together to express the relaxed character of Laahe.
