RAIN TREE A quiet furnishing scheme inspired by the view outside the window.

For The Rain Tree Project, Narah took a deliberately minimal approach to the furnishings, keeping prints restrained and allowing the materials and details to create the character of the room. The central idea came from the master bedroom's view: a beautiful rain tree overlooking the room became the inspiration for a bespoke hand-embroidered Roman blind.

The tree was photographed and translated into an embroidery design, which was then entirely hand embroidered onto the Roman blind. When the blind is raised, the family sees the actual tree outside; when it is lowered, the same tree appears as part of the room. This creates a quiet connection between the interior and the landscape outside.

Narah also curated and designed the bed linen using block-printed fabrics, ensuring it worked with the existing aesthetic of the home. Teak wood was brought into the room as a key material, while the prints were intentionally kept minimal. The strongest visual detail was reserved for the bed linen and embroidered blind, allowing texture, craftsmanship, and materiality to carry the rest of the space.
