A 30-year-old home redesigned for contemporary family life while retaining its original character.

Vyan was a transformation of Vidya's 30-year-old, 1243 sq. ft. home. Narah reworked the interiors to make the house more functional and contemporary while deliberately retaining elements of its existing character. The living room was redesigned around a custom unjal, elegant wallpaper, and hand block-printed curtains, creating a balance between comfort and crafted detail.

The kitchen was updated with Moroccan tiles and a breakfast counter, while the daughter's bedroom was designed with a soft pink palette, arched niches, a dedicated craft corner, and a balcony transformed into a dressing nook. The master bedroom was kept more minimal, using framed art and calming tones. In the dining area, the original shelves were refurbished rather than discarded, allowing an element of the old home to remain part of the redesigned space.
